Prince Fa Moniet When Don and Judith Forbis purchased the gleaming white stallion Prince Fa Moniet, at the dispersal of the prestigious Bentwood Farms, a new era began at Ansata Arabian Stud.Prince Fa Moniet was bred by Bentwood in 1981, from a mating of the beautiful stallion, Thee Egyptian Prince with the lovely Babson mare, Fa Moniet. The strength of his fine Saklawi blood was very evident, and beautifully blended with the Kuhaylan Jellabia strain of his dam. Although unable to be shown himself, due to extreme injury to his front legs, Prince Fa Moniet made a strong impact on the show and breeding horses of Ansata lineage. He sired many outstanding horses such as, ANSATA SINAN, Jr. Champion and Res. Supreme Champion, 1994 Egyptian Event, Nations Cup Jr. Champion, Res. Jr. World Champion, Salon de Cheval, Paris and many other European championships. ANSATA IMEHOTEP, a stallion very much like his sire, is a full brother to ANSATA SINAN, winner of the Egyptian Event World Class Yearling, top ten Futurity winner, and several Top Ten wins including the Egyptian Event and U.S. Nationals. In addition to his sons, his daughters have done extremely well. They include such notables as G. SHAFARIA, a frequent winner in the show ring, and the popular champion sisters, ANSATA WHITE NILE and ANSATA BLUE NILE (exported to Qatar). The final two years of his life were spent in Australia in the able care of Peter and Jennie Pond, of Forest Hill Arabian Stud. Here he has contributed first class foals to carry on his legacy there, as it has in countries across the world. Arabian Horses of the Great Pyramids grieves the loss of this fine, worthy stallion as he passes his legacy to his sons. Our condolences to Donald and Judith Forbis, and Peter and Jennie Pond.
