The donkey is an important part of life in Siwa, as a Taxi and a working animal on the farm. Siwa men ride their donkey only on carts and do not mount them. They sit on their carts side saddle as oppose to the rest of Egypt where they straddle the front of the cart. Rather dignified we think. |
