This is a classic image of downtown Siwa. No fancy shopfronts or neon lights. This local man and his friend is one of the few shops selling hand made local rugs, wall hangings and baskets. The shop is part of the family home made from mud brick, cool in the summer and holding heat in the deserts cold winter. |
