Our first look at a Siwan women. Not too much to see, but a quick glance our way was captured here. This sight is un- common in the town as women are kept indoors. Each evening they venture out at sunset to visit family and friends. During twilight time the town is filled with women wearing their beautiful hand made shawl coverings. The full body shawl is worn by all Siwa women and differs little from one to the other. (note the brightly colored dress showing beneath the shawl) |
